Yes, while the Crakl Portable Bonfire is designed for safe use, we recommend placing it on a stable and fire-resistant surface away from flammable materials. Always follow the provided instructions for safe ignition and extinguishing.

Be careful with the tin once lit, as it becomes very hot. We recommend you place the Crakl in our cork base to prevent and damage to the surface you rest it on. We advise you leave the bonfire for a period of time after extinguishing before handling or packing away, as the wax inside is still hot and melted.

It's simple! Place your Crakl on a sturdy, preferably flat surface, pop the lid off and light up!

Make sure you place it on a surface which can withstand heat. We recommend you use the Crakl Cork Base to prevent damage to surfaces.

Slide the lid over the top of the Crakl to starve the fire of oxygen. Use the Crakl Magnet Stick on the lid to ensure you can safely extinguish the flame.

First make sure all cores are lit and there is a single, large flame in the tin.
Next, attach your marshmallows to your skewers.

1. Patience is Key:
   Hold the marshmallow just above the flames, not directly in them, and rotate it slowly to ensure even browning. Be patient, and avoid rushing the process.
2. Golden Brown is the Goal:
   Aim for a golden brown color on the outside. This ensures that the marshmallow is soft and gooey on the inside.
3. Rotate and Be Consistent:
   Continuously rotate the marshmallow to ensure that all sides are evenly roasted. This helps prevent one side from burning while the other remains undercooked.

You can, however the wicks may join with the melted wax from a previous session, which may make it challenging to relight. We advise you use the Crakl in one session for the best experience.

Put out the flame around 30 minutes before you are planning to leave your site, as the wax is still melted and hot. It's best to wait for the wax to solidify before you pack the Crakl away, otherwise wax may leak out into your bag.

This occasionally may happen if wax dries onto the wick if you are reusing a Crakl. Firstly try to pry off some of the dried wax with a sharp, thin object. Then hold a flame over the wick for an extended period of time to melt the dried wax. This will then allow you to relight your Crakl.
